DISA offers several programs for current students and recent graduates. The agency is focusing on students who are currently or have been educated in the following areas:
DISA Pathways Internship Program
The Internship Program provides students enrolled in a wide variety of educational institutions - from high school to graduate level - with opportunities to work in a federal environment while earning an education. This is a paid internship program. Students who successfully complete the program may be eligible for conversion to a permanent job in the civil service.

DISA Pathways Recent Graduate Program
The Pathways Recent Graduate program is for individuals who have recently graduated from qualifying educational institutions or programs and seek a dynamic, career development program with training and mentorship.
The program affords recent graduates developmental experiences in the federal government intended to promote possible careers in civil service. Successful applicants are placed in a dynamic, developmental program with the potential to lead to a career in the federal government. DISA recent graduates are placed on two year excepted appointment.

DOD Cyber Scholarship Program
The Department of Defense (DOD) Cyber Scholarship Program is designed to assist in recruiting and retaining highly qualified personnel in the cybersecurity concentration to meet the DOD’s information technology requirements for national defense and the security of its information infrastructure.
DOD Cyber Scholars may serve out the terms of their service commitment with DISA.
Scholarship for Service
Scholarship for Service (SFS) is a unique program designed to increase and strengthen the cadre of federal information assurance (IA) professionals that protect the government's critical information infrastructure. The director of the National Science Foundation – in coordination with the director of the Office of Personnel Management and Secretary of Homeland Security – funds the federal cyber scholarship-for-service program as a method to recruit and train information technology professionals, industrial control system security professionals, and security managers to fulfill the cybersecurity mission for federal, state, local, and tribal governments.
SFS recipients may serve out the terms of their service commitment with DISA.
DISA meets the requirement and will honor any service commitment made through these scholarships.
